Network on ‘The impact of migrant workers on the functioning of labour markets and industrial relations’

This network is funded by the UK ESRC for 2009-2011. REMESO is represented through Professor Charles Woolfson. The network is co-ordinated by Dr Steve French of Keele University as part of its Research Institute for Social Sciences. Dr French has been a visiting lecturer at the REMESO Graduate School. The network comprises scholars from major British universities in the field of industrial relations who meet on a regular basis at different university venues for the purposes of research seminars on migration-related aspects of labour relations. To date, five major workshops have been conducted. Woolfson has been a regular attendee and presented his research findings on Baltic migration patterns and labour market impacts at Workshop 3 in June 2010.
